1886 | Sandoz Ltd. was established in Basel, Switzerland. |
1949 | First experiments coloring anodized aluminum were conducted in the Dyes Division of Sandoz Ltd. This was later transferred to Durand & Huguenin who became the market leader. |
1969 | Sandoz reacquired Durand & Huguenin and the worldwide aluminum dye business. |
1995 | Clariant was formed from the chemicals group of Sandoz Ltd. |
1997 | Clariant acquired the specialty chemicals business of Hoechst (Germany). |
2008 | Clariant and Reliant established a strategic alliance to serve anodizers throughout North America. |
2022 | Heubach aquire Clariant Pigments and continues alliance with Reliant. |
